Brian Wind-Hansen sent me his book for older children, and it was packed with imagery and suspense. I made this cover for him, alongside a short animated trailer for the book.

The book is a western with one very badass protagonist. However, behind the cool exterior beats a broken heart, and Billie is about both cool western stuff and also family. I loved reading it, and I hope people judge this book by its cover, because I’m pretty proud of the result.

I used blender for the trailer, which is a very interesting tool to use for 2d style animation. I will try and expand on this style and workflow for other projects.
